人生的三件事
人世间的事情看起来很纷杂，没头绪。但是，如果我们细细的把它们分门别类，其实人生只有三件事：“自己的事”，“别人的事”，“老天爷的事”。
“自己的事”当然是指跟自己生活息息相关的任何一件事，如上班，吃饭，睡觉，心情等，自己所能安排的事。“别人的事”是指与自己不相干的事，如老王爱自夸，老张爱打牌等，操之在别人，属于他人管辖的事。“老天爷的事”系指天灾，人祸，地震，海啸，命运等，操之在天，属于老天爷管辖的事。
然而，人烦恼的根源往往是“忘了自己的事”，“爱管别人的事”，“担心老天爷的事”。打个比喻：忘记反省自己，忘记自己的本份；爱说别人的闲话，爱管别人的闲事；工作怕发生危险，出门怕发生意外等不可预测的事。
人生的这三件事往往是我们烦恼的根源，如何平衡好这三件事在我们生活中所起的作用是非常重要的。我觉得应该做到“打理好自己的事”，“不多管别人的闲事”（非指遇到杀人放火的事不管），“操之在天的事要乐天知命，顺应随缘”。
烦恼经常是自找的。如果你不给自己麻烦，别人永远不可能给你麻烦，放不下心中的事，才是烦恼的原因。当自己为了什么事情烦恼的时候，先厘清是“自己的事”，“别人的事”，还是“老天爷的事”，就知道怎么处理了，也就能很快的把忧郁的心情，调适过来了。

您的妻子（不可不知的人生哲理）
从前有位国王，他有四位妻子。
国王最爱他的第四位妻子，给她穿最好的衣服，给她吃最美味的佳肴。
国王也很爱他的第三位妻子，常带着她去邻国访问。
国王同样爱着他的第二位妻子。她是国王的知心人。国王凡是遇到什么麻烦事，总要去找她商量并在她的帮助下度过难关。
国王的第一位妻子对他忠心耿耿，为帮助国王守住财富和王位付出了很多。然而国王却并不珍惜这位妻子。尽管她深爱着国王，国王却无动于衷。
终于，国王病重，时日无多。他暗想：“我有四个妻子，死的时候却只能一个人去吗？”
于是他问第四个妻子：“我最爱你，你能陪我一起进坟墓吗？”“想都别想！”这位妻子丢下一句话，头也不回地走了。
伤心的国王于是问第三个妻子：“我一辈子都爱你，你准备好同我一起去吗？”“不！”这位妻子答道，“你死了，我就改嫁。”
接着他问他的第二位妻子：“你总能帮我。现在，你能同我一起去吗？”对方答道“这次我可帮不了你，我能做的至多是给你下葬。”
这时，一个声音传来：“我陪你去，你去哪里我都陪着你。”国王朝着声音传来的方向望去，原来是他的第一位妻子。望着这位因营养不良而骨瘦如柴的妻子，国王热泪盈眶地说：“我早该对你好一点。”
实际上，每一个人的一生中都有四位妻子。
第四位妻子是我们的身体。无论在世耗费多少时间和精力去保养，一旦离开人世，身体也就离我们而去。
第三位妻子是财富，权利和地位。哪天我们死了，这些东西都将落到别人的手里。
第二位妻子是我们的家人和朋友。无论他们愿意给于我们多大的帮助，至多也只能陪我们走到墓穴的门口。
我们的第一位妻子是心灵。人生在世，人们总是不断追逐财富，权利和欢愉，反而忽视了心灵。然而只有心灵才会陪伴我们走到天涯海角。

I won the bet...
Alright. I won the bet with no rewards...
Was at Lookers last night. Initially wanted to finish up my bottle of unfinished Martell, but ended up starting the bet with Mike. The bet goes like this. In within less than 3 hour's time, I am to finish 3 1.5 litres of green tea. If I can finish them, Mike will take it as he treat me these 3 bottles, If not the charges will be $30 per bottle. Lucky I finished them all. Sorry Mike, will try to let you win next time.
Took some photos with the lovely singers before the bet. Here comes...

Dinner at Benjamin's house...
Was at my cousin, Benjamin's house tonight. This is the first time I visited their house after the last visit to their old house at Towner Road around 10+ years ago. Initially, I only planned to visit them to pass them some things I got from overseas. But ended up getting invited to join them for dinner and chit chatted till around 9.45pm before I left.
Benjamin's family are Christians, so they have the habit of giving prayers to god before their meal. What surprised me was when I heard that he actually included me in his prayers and prayed for me as well! Thanks a lot Benjamin!
As for what he said in all, I couldn't remember... But what made me touched was this:
"... We are very happy to have Alan with us for dinner today. We all know that his work is heavy and is very busy. We pray that you will watch over his health and bless him with good business..."
There was no super delicious dishes nor expensive dishes. But what touched me was these little details that we often overlook, which easily made our day...
And lastly, to my dearest cousin, Benjamin and his lovely wife, Yi Mei, thanks for the dinner and I promise you guys to try my best to visit you guys when I am free okay? And not forgetting to bring in more goodies for you as well...

Lookers Live Band Last Night @ Lookers Music Cafe...
Tonight is the last night the Thai live band will be playing in Lookers Music Cafe... They will be returning to Thailand soon as their contract is ending... However, as what i heard from some of them, they will be returning to either Lookers or Sakura 6 months later... Looking forward to it...
